InfoTET participates in the show “Hoy Hablamos en Español” on CIGN 96.7 FM

On November 18, Nicolas Bellier, Project Director of InfoTET at Immigrant Québec, enthusiastically participated in the program “Hoy Hablamos en Español” on CIGN 96.7 FM, the cooperative radio station of Coaticook, a weekly space dedicated to Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs). The activity was organized by Actions interculturelles de développement et d’éducation (AIDE), under the coordination of Aura María Forero, who facilitated the participation and coordination of the event.

This interview offered an opportunity to acknowledge and highlight the work of the TFWs who listen to us every Tuesday, while informing and raising community awareness about the services and resources available.

During the program, Nicolas Bellier presented the essential role of InfoTET and Immigrant Québec, highlighting:

  • The dissemination of reliable information tailored to the needs of TFWs.
  • Personalized support to facilitate their integration and understanding of their rights.
  • The promotion of community services and resources available to temporary workers in Québec.

The interview also addressed key topics for TFWs, particularly the challenges and opportunities related to job searching with a closed work permit, a central issue for this community.

Thanks to this type of intervention, InfoTET strengthens worker awareness and trust while offering them a space where they can get information, ask questions, and feel supported.

We warmly thank AIDE, and especially Aura María Forero, for organizing the activity, as well as CIGN 96.7 FM for offering this space for exchange. We also thank all the workers who regularly listen to us to stay informed. Each appearance on the air reminds us of the importance of staying close, available, and active on the ground, supporting TFWs concretely in their daily lives in Québec.

The program airs every Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and is professionally hosted by Saïd Beltrán and Andrea Contreras, Project Officers at Actions interculturelles de développement et d’éducation (AIDE). Don’t miss the opportunity to stay informed and ask your questions!
