Indoor Soccer Activity for Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs)

As part of our mission to provide guidance, information, and support to Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs), InfoTET d’Immigrant Québec was pleased to participate, on December 21, 2025,in an indoor soccer activity for TFWs, organized by Accès Travail Portneuf.

This sporting activity took place every Sunday from October 12 to December 28, 2025, and represents much more than a simple soccer game. It serves as an important space for socialization, well-being, and community support for foreign workers living and working in the region.

During this activity, we had the opportunity to reconnect with several TFWs, mainly from Morocco and Guatemala. These exchanges allowed us to better understand their daily realities and to recognize the valuable contribution they make to the region’s economic and social development.

Participants expressed their appreciation for this type of initiative, which allows them to:

  • Reduce isolation, especially during the holiday season
  • Socialize and build connections with other foreign workers
  • Take part in activities outside of their daily work, which is often physically and emotionally demanding

Before the first match, we had the opportunity to present the services offered by the InfoTET d’Immigrant Québec program, as well as to thank Temporary Foreign Workers for their commitment and contributions to the region.

We would like to extend our thanks to Accès Travail Portneuf for organizing and coordinating this activity. Thanks to their commitment, these weekly gatherings help create an inclusive environment, strengthening the well-being, solidarity, and sense of belonging of Temporary Foreign Workers in the region.

At InfoTET d’Immigrant Québec, we reaffirm our belief that initiatives like this play a fundamental role in the social and human integration of TFWs, and we will continue to support and promote spaces that enhance their quality of life and inclusion.
