On September 25, InfoTET Québec, represented by Nicolas Bellier, Project Director, and Jonathan Buitrago, Regional Coordinator, had the honor of accompanying Sandra Morales, Consul General of El Salvador in Montreal, and Julissa Hengstenberg Delgado, Consul General of Guatemala in Montreal, during the celebration of the 204th anniversary of independence for these two sister countries.
This event was a true cultural celebration, offering a symbolic journey through the music, dances, and flavors of El Salvador and Guatemala. The artistic performances transported us to different regions of both countries, proudly showcasing their traditional clothing, customs, typical dishes, and folkloric expressions.
Beyond celebrating independence, this day was a unique opportunity to bring communities together, share cultures, and strengthen the bonds between migrant populations and the local community in Quebec.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to all the individuals and teams who made this event possible, allowing us to discover and celebrate the cultural richness of these two countries in such a vibrant and meaningful way.
An authentic experience that reminded us of the beauty of our roots and the strength of community!
