At InfoTET, we believe it is essential to highlight community organizations that play a key role in providing information and supporting Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs) in Quebec. In this context, AGRIcarrières stands out for its ongoing work and strong commitment within the Migrant Worker Support Program (PSTM).
AGRIcarrières is a workforce development organization in the agricultural sector. It is part of the PSTM ecosystem of InfoTET, an initiative from Immigrant Québec dedicated to providing information and support to Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs) across the province.
With a strong presence in the Montérégie region, AGRIcarrières plays a vital role in supporting both agricultural employers and workers, especially TFWs, who are essential to the functioning of the sector.
A strong network directly supporting TFWs in Québec’s agricultural sector
In Québec’s agricultural sector, AGRIcarrières works closely with a key partner: the UPA (Union of Agricultural Producers). This partnership helps create a more structured environment for Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs) as they integrate into the workforce.
Through this collaboration, TFWs benefit from closer support that is adapted to regional realities and the specific needs of farm work. This network helps connect employers and workers, promoting a more organized, informed, and secure integration process.
AGRIcarrières is also responsible for supporting the agricultural sector in the development, management, and recognition of workforce skills, where TFWs play an essential role.
Through its actions, AGRIcarrières directly contributes to improving the reception, integration, and development conditions of Temporary Foreign Workers in Québec farms, strengthening their work experience and stability in the sector.
AGRI-CONNEXION: an application serving agricultural workers
To facilitate access to information, AGRIcarrières has developed the AGRI-CONNEXION app, now available on the App Store and Google Play.
This application brings together, by theme, all relevant information related to the integration of TFWs in Québec farms.
To ensure accessibility for all users, the content automatically appears in the device’s default language: Spanish, French, or English.
AGRI-CONNEXION is therefore a practical and essential tool for Temporary Foreign Workers, helping them in their daily life and integration into Québec’s agricultural sector.
AGRIcarrières’ collaboration within the PSTM strengthens an essential support network for TFWs in Québec and helps create more fair and respectful working environments.
At InfoTET, we value and highlight AGRIcarrières’ commitment to supporting TFWs. Their active participation in the PSTM demonstrates the importance of community work as a pillar of information.
We will continue to highlight initiatives like this that concretely improve the living and working conditions of migrant workers in Québec.
