As part of the PSTM program, InfoTET from Immigrant Québec highlights the services provided by the Fédération de l’Union des producteurs agricoles (UPA) of Montérégie, a PSTM program partner, to temporary foreign workers (TFW) in order to support their settlement and integration in Quebec. The UPA Montérégie serves as a trusted reference and platform organization within the program, offering guidance and practical support on key employment-related and administrative matters essential to workers’ daily lives, with province-wide coverage across Quebec.
Through its Agricultural Employment Center, UPA Montérégie provides information and advice in French, Spanish, and English on a variety of topics that directly affect TET. Available services include guidance on taxation, tax returns, parental and retirement benefits, as well as information on labor standards, health and safety coverage, social insurance number (SIN), and employer deductions.
TET can contact the center’s advisors directly by calling 1‑888‑454‑3998, where they will find answers to questions on various topics such as taxation, taxes, notices of assessment, retirement pension, parental benefits, labor standards, health and safety, RAMQ, SIN, employer deductions, issues with employers, rights and interests, and more. They can also use WhatsApp to reach the advisors of the Agricultural Employment Center at 438‑543‑5062 or 438‑378‑5152, receiving direct and personalized guidance according to their needs.
Additionally, the center acts as a gateway to other partner organizations, ensuring that workers are directed to the most appropriate resource if they need specific support. With its experience in the agricultural sector and knowledge of the Quebec labor context, UPA Montérégie provides a comprehensive and accessible service, making it easier for TET to understand their rights, obligations, and available resources throughout the province.
From InfoTET of Immigrant Québec, we encourage all Temporary Foreign Workers to take advantage of these services as a reliable tool to stay informed, receive guidance, and access practical support during their work experience in Quebec.
