The Québec Immigration and Integration Fair (SIIQ) 2026 : a key space for TFWs

The Immigration and Integration Fair in Quebec (SIIQ) is the must-attend event in Montreal for immigrants who want to better understand their environment and the resources available to integrate into Quebec. Organized by Immigrant Québec, this free, province-wide event brings together community organizations, public institutions, recruiting companies, and essential services in one place to support immigrants in their settlement and integration process.

From the perspective of InfoTET d’Immigrant Québec, the SIIQ represents a strategic and highly relevant opportunity for temporary foreign workers (TFWs), who face specific realities and challenges during their stay in the province.

The Spring 2026 edition, which will take place at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Once again, it will serve as an essential meeting point to access information, gain orientation, and strengthen the autonomy of temporary foreign workers (TFWs).

The SIIQ allows TFWs to discover and connect directly with organizations working in key areas such as:

  • housing and accommodation
  • health and social services
  • training, French-language learning, and education
  • community services and support for newcomers

For TFWs, being aware of these resources from the very beginning can make a significant difference in terms of stability and well-being in Québec.

Throughout the event, conferences and informational activities are offered to help temporary foreign workers:

  • better understand how the Québec system works;
  • navigate their integration pathway, even without changing employers;
  • learn about support programs available to immigrants at different stages of their stay.

These spaces allow participants to ask questions directly to experts, clarify common concerns, and access reliable information in one place.

At InfoTET, we also view the SIIQ as a human and community-focused space, where TFWs can:

  • meet other foreign workers experiencing similar situations;
  • break the isolation often associated with closed work permits;
  • establish initial contact with support organizations, even before facing an urgent situation.

The information shared and the connections created during the fair contribute to a more informed and better-supported integration process.

At InfoTET d’Immigrant Québec, we work specifically with temporary foreign workers by providing information, guidance, and support tailored to their realities. From our perspective, the SIIQ is an essential complement to our work, as it enables TFWs to:

  • access reliable, centralized information;
  • identify key resources in their region;
  • strengthen their ability to make informed decisions.

Attending the SIIQ can change the way a TFW experiences life in Québec.

The Québec Immigration and Integration Fair is much more than an informational event—it is a key reference point for integration, especially for temporary foreign workers who need clear information, accessible resources, and strong support networks.

At InfoTET, we encourage TFWs to take advantage of the Spring 2026 edition as an opportunity to become informed, empowered, and to move forward more confidently in their immigration journey in Québec.
