Justice Pro Bono, InfoTET’s legal partner within the PSTM for TETs in Quebec.

Who Is Justice Pro Bono and How Can It Help You as a TFW in Québec?

As part of the Migrant Workers Support Program (PSTM) of InfoTET by Immigrant Québec, we would like to introduce an essential resource for your legal well-being: Justice Pro Bono.

Justice Pro Bono is a non-profit organization in Quebec whose mission is to improve access to justice by mobilizing the legal community (lawyers, notaries, and legal professionals) to voluntarily provide their expertise and time to individuals who cannot afford legal services. It also serves as a platform organization within the program, providing province-wide coverage across Quebec and facilitating access to reliable legal guidance for those in need.

Its vision is to remain the leading organization in legal volunteerism, particularly for people in vulnerable situations throughout the province.

The organization was created in 2008 by the Barreau du Québec (Québec Bar Association) and today relies on a broad network of thousands of volunteer legal professionals who provide free legal assistance through various programs.

For Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs) holding a closed work permit, Justice Pro Bono offers free legal support, available in French, English, and Spanish.

📌 Available services:
📱 WhatsApp: +1 438 337-6002
☎️ Toll-free phone number: 1 866 999-4881

🧑‍⚖️ Legal clinics and outreach at cultural events, where you can receive legal guidance directly.

These services are designed to address your legal questions and needs, such as employment-related issues, immigration matters, or understanding your rights as a worker in Québec.

Within Justice Pro Bono, there is a team specialized in immigration law and temporary foreign worker matters that can:

  • answer basic legal questions;
  • inform you about your legal options;
  • connect you with volunteer lawyers when necessary.

This support is especially helpful if you cannot afford a private lawyer but need guidance or assistance to better understand your legal situation.

Justice Pro Bono within the PSTM and InfoTET

Within the framework of the PSTM, a federal program coordinated by Immigrant Québec and integrated into our work at InfoTET, Justice Pro Bono is one of the key partners providing free services to TFWs across Québec.
