InfoTET Zone at SIIQ 2026: A Strategic Space for Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs)

The Immigration and Integration Fair in Quebec (SIIQ) 2026 is a key event in Montreal for immigrants who want to better understand their environment and access the resources available to facilitate their integration in Quebec. Organized by Immigrant Québec, this free, province-wide event brings together community organizations, public institutions, recruiting companies, and essential services in one place, creating a comprehensive support space during the settlement and integration process.

The Spring 2026 edition will take place on Wednesday, May 27, and Thursday, May 28, at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Every year, more than 10,000 visitors gather to explore opportunities, learn about key services, and access information that facilitates successful integration in Quebec. It is a unique opportunity to discover resources, make informed decisions, and strengthen personal autonomy.

Dedicated Zone for Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs)

The SIIQ will feature a dedicated zone for Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs), where they can get information, guidance, and connect directly with organizations from the Migrant Workers Support Program (PSTM).

From the perspective of InfoTET at Immigrant Québec, the SIIQ represents a strategic opportunity for TFWs, who face specific realities and challenges during their stay in the province. Throughout the event, conferences and informational activities will be offered to help TFWs:

  • Better understand how the Quebec system works
  • Navigate their integration process, even without changing employers
  • Learn about support programs available to immigrants at different stages of their stay

These spaces allow participants to ask questions directly to specialists, clarify common concerns, and access reliable, centralized information in one place.

The SIIQ is also designed as a human and community space, where TFWs can:

  • Meet other foreign workers in similar situations
  • Break the isolation often associated with closed work permits
  • Establish initial contacts with support organizations, even before facing urgent situations

The information shared and connections made at the Fair contribute to a more informed and supported integration. InfoTET continues to support TFWs by providing information, guidance, and assistance tailored to their reality, and the SIIQ is an essential complement to this mission, allowing TFWs to:

  • Access reliable, centralized information
  • Identify key resources in their region
  • Strengthen their ability to make informed decisions

Attending SIIQ Spring 2026 is a unique opportunity for TFWs to get informed, empowered, and move forward with greater confidence in their migration journey in Quebec. This event goes far beyond simply providing information: it offers concrete resources and strong support networks, essential for a successful integration experience.
