On Saturday, November 15, InfoTET from Immigrant Québec had the great pleasure of participating in a sporting activity specially designed for temporary foreign workers in the Montmagny area: a dynamic basketball tournament that brought together energy, camaraderie, and a very warm atmosphere.
From the start, an atmosphere of joy and motivation was felt. The participants showed excellent sportsmanship, sharing laughter, effort, and moments that strengthen community life. For InfoTET, it was a valuable opportunity to get even closer to the daily reality of temporary foreign workers and to continue creating spaces where they can feel supported and accompanied.
Our project director, Nicolas Bellier, personally participated in the activity and traveled from Montreal to be present. His visit reflects our ongoing commitment to temporary foreign workers in all regions of Quebec. He also took the opportunity to engage with the workers, listen to their experiences, and strengthen the existing support networks in the area. InfoTET guides were distributed to provide essential information on the resources, rights, and services available to temporary workers in Quebec. Each meeting like this reminds us of the importance of staying close, available, and active in the field.
We wish to express our sincere gratitude to the Corporation de Développement Économique de la MRC de Montmagny (CDEMM). Their work and dedication make it possible to create moments that break isolation and promote the social integration of the TET community.
For InfoTET, this basketball day was much more than a tournament: it was a space for meeting, well-being, and human connection. We are very happy to have participated and to continue supporting initiatives that improve the quality of life for those who come to work in Quebec.
We congratulate all the participants for their energy and incredible involvement! We will remain present, supporting and building bridges between TET and the communities that welcome them.
