Information Workshop for Temporary Foreign Workers at Culture Gen V

An informational workshop was recently organized in collaboration with CAFLA (Center for Assistance to Latin American Families), aimed at temporary foreign workers (TFWs) from the company Culture Gen V. The event brought together nearly 90 Guatemalan workers, who actively participated in the offered sessions.

During this meeting, key topics related to psychosocial and medical health were addressed by professionals from CAFLA. Additionally, practical information was provided regarding the rights and responsibilities of temporary foreign workers in Quebec.

The company also took advantage of this opportunity to share important details about return flights to their home countries, while reminding participants of the rules in place regarding alcohol consumption during their stay in Canada.

InfoTET Québec actively participated in the event, represented by its Regional Coordinator, Jonathan Buitrago, who seized the opportunity to engage with the workers and reaffirm the organization’s commitment to human and accessible support.

Copies of the Temporary Foreign Worker Guide in Quebec were distributed. This essential document provides TFWs with clear information on their rights and responsibilities, available services, and support resources.

Such initiatives strengthen the commitment of organizations and businesses to the well-being, integration, and access to clear and accessible information for temporary foreign workers, who play an essential role in Quebec’s agricultural sector.
