Discover and learn about life in the Laurentides: An essential workshop for temporary foreign workers

On December 5, InfoTET from Immigrant Québec had the honor of participating in the workshop “Learn and Discover the Laurentides: Practical Tips for Your Daily Life,” organized by CIE Laurentides and facilitated by Deborah Lopez. This event was a valuable opportunity for temporary foreign workers living in the region to receive practical information and useful advice to help ease their integration and daily life in Québec.

At InfoTET, we are proud to contribute to spaces where foreign workers can learn about their rights, discover local services, and become familiar with community resources that support their adaptation. The workshop addressed essential topics such as daily life, access to services, local culture, and strategies for managing common situations when arriving in a new region.

Deborah Lopez from CIE Laurentides provided personalized guidance and practical tools so that each participant could feel more confident and better prepared to face everyday challenges. Direct interaction with experts and with other workers made it possible to share experiences and strengthen support networks within the community.

It was also an opportunity to distribute the new edition of the information guide for temporary foreign workers, handed out by Jonathan Buitrago, Regional Coordinator of InfoTET Québec. This moment of direct exchange made it possible to answer questions, listen to experiences, and better understand participants’ needs. These warm interactions are at the heart of our mission: to support and provide tools to temporary foreign workers throughout their journey in Québec.

At InfoTET from Immigrant Québec, we believe that events like this are essential to strengthening inclusion, empowering temporary foreign workers, and promoting their overall well-being in Québec. We will continue to support initiatives that foster information, training, and effective integration for those who contribute to the development of our province.

If you are a temporary foreign worker or know someone who is, we invite you to follow our activities and workshops to benefit from resources that will make your life in Québec easier and more enriching.
