On June 21st, a very special event took place in Saint-Eustache: “Bowling for TFWs”, organized in collaboration with ABL. A dozen temporary foreign workers (TFWs) from Colombia, Honduras, and Morocco came together for an afternoon of fun, learning, and community-building.
For many of the participants, it was their first time bowling, making the day even more memorable. The games were played in mixed teams to encourage intercultural integration, teamwork, and open exchange in a relaxed and friendly environment.
But the event wasn’t just about having fun. Between games, the organizing team took the opportunity to talk to participants about their rights and responsibilities as workers in Quebec, and to present the services and resources available through the program, helping strengthen their access to information and confidence in the workplace.
Events like this show how sports and recreational activities can be powerful tools for inclusion and empowerment, providing safe spaces to share, learn, and build connections beyond the job site.
At InfoTET Immigrant Québec, we remain committed to supporting the fair and dignified integration of temporary foreign workers, and we celebrate every opportunity where play, dialogue, and mutual respect come together to create meaningful experiences.
