A Bowling Night That Brings Cultures Together: InfoTET Supports TFWs in Drummondville

On November 18, 2025, InfoTET from Immigrant Québec had the pleasure of participating in a warm and fun bowling evening in Drummondville, thanks to the excellent organization of Silvana Tovar and Éric Marchesseault from Drummond Économique. Their ongoing commitment to the well-being and integration of Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs) created a space where socializing, discovery, and laughter came together in perfect harmony.

The event brought together TFWs from Morocco, Colombia, and Haiti, who took the opportunity to relax, share, and enjoy a moment away from their work routines. For one participant from Haiti, the experience was even more special: it was his first time bowling, and he expressed heartfelt gratitude for being able to experience something new and meaningful.

Between throws, the evening became a space for dialogue and connection. It was also the occasion to distribute the new edition of the informational guide for TFWs, handed out by Jonathan Buitrago, Regional Coordinator of InfoTET Québec. This direct exchange allowed questions to be answered, experiences to be heard, and needs to be better understood. These warm interactions are at the heart of our mission: supporting and providing tools to Temporary Foreign Workers in their journey in Québec.

In addition to distributing materials, the InfoTET team had the chance to talk with several workers, introduce them to the program’s services and resources, and strengthen their access to clear, useful, and relevant information.

This type of activity reinforces a key aspect of our work: creating moments that connect TFWs to the community, promote their integration, and remind them that they are not alone on their journey. The friendly atmosphere of the evening allowed participants not only to have fun but also to build relationships and a sense of belonging.

From InfoTET, we extend our sincere thanks to Drummond Économique, and especially to Silvana Tovar and Éric Marchesseault, for their commitment and the positive impact they create every day in the lives of Temporary Foreign Workers in the region.

We will continue working together to support, inform, and accompany TFWs, promoting their well-being and full integration in Québec.
