From InfoTET, a program of Immigrant Québec dedicated to informing and supporting Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs), we make available the 2025–2026 Information Guide, an essential tool designed to support the settlement, adaptation, and integration of foreign workers in Quebec, particularly those holding a closed work permit.
This guide serves as an indispensable reference for both individuals arriving in the province for the first time and those who already have several years of experience in Quebec. With approximately 100 pages and organized into 12 chapters, it provides clear, practical, and up-to-date information on the fundamental aspects of work and daily life.
Among its main contents, the guide addresses in detail the rights and obligations of Temporary Foreign Workers, current labor standards in Quebec, the specific conditions of the work permit, as well as what it entails in terms of housing, transportation, and mobility. It also includes key information on workplace health and safety, health coverage, and the steps to follow in the event of a work-related accident or illness.
A central aspect of the guide is guidance on the resources available in situations of difficulty, whether related to health issues, situations of abuse, or legal conflicts with an employer. In this regard, the publication brings together a list of support organizations offering free services in all regions of Quebec, enabling TFWs to quickly identify where to seek assistance based on their situation.
In addition to labor and administrative topics, the guide invites readers to discover Quebec from a social and cultural perspective, presenting activities, traditions, and elements of Quebec life that foster a better understanding of the environment and a stronger integration into the host society.
To ensure inclusive access to information, the 2025–2026 Information Guide is available in bilingual versions French–English, French–Spanish, and French–Tagalog. A dynamic audio version in Spanish was also developed, specifically designed for individuals who prefer or need to access information in an audio format. Each chapter includes a QR code that directs users to the corresponding audio on the InfoTET Québec YouTube channel.
This project is funded by the Government of Canada, ensuring the quality, reliability, and relevance of the information provided. The printed version of the guide is distributed by partner organizations through local activities, information sessions, training courses, as well as in airports and businesses across different regions of Quebec.
From InfoTET of Immigrant Québec, we reaffirm our commitment to offering free, accessible tools adapted to the reality of Temporary Foreign Workers, with the objective of enabling them to integrate, adapt, and develop safely and in an informed manner in Quebec.
