<b>and<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span role=\"presentation\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(70, 120, 134)\"><a id=\"OWA59b1d382-08a5-ce94-6a94-2755f410ede3\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" title=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/employment-social-development\/services\/foreign-workers\/refusal.html#:~:text=How%20to%20determine%20if%20a%20work%20location%20is%20in%20a%20CMA\" href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/employment-social-development\/services\/foreign-workers\/refusal.html#:~:text=How%20to%20determine%20if%20a%20work%20location%20is%20in%20a%20CMA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"10\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(70, 120, 134)\"><u data-ogsc=\"\">The work location is in a CMA<\/u><\/a><\/span>; <b>and<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span role=\"presentation\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(70, 120, 134)\"><a id=\"OWA39de0069-d6ea-7c7a-ff3b-827f6fb2ce4d\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" title=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/employment-social-development\/services\/foreign-workers\/refusal.html#h2.2.3:~:text=Unemployment%20rates%20applicable%20for%20this%20refusal%20to%20process%20measure\" href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/employment-social-development\/services\/foreign-workers\/refusal.html#h2.2.3:~:text=Unemployment%20rates%20applicable%20for%20this%20refusal%20to%20process%20measure\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"11\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(70, 120, 134)\"><u data-ogsc=\"\">The unemployment rate of the CMA where the work is located is 6% or higher<\/u><\/a><\/span> on the TFW Program quarterly table at the time the LMIA application is submitted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To support the ongoing application of this measure, the TFW Program updated its table of <\/b><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(70, 120, 134)\"><a id=\"OWAe477bb74-2bf9-44dc-05c4-9e4cc91ce5c4\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" title=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/employment-social-development\/services\/foreign-workers\/refusal.html#:~:text=Table%3A%20Unemployment%20rates%20by%20CMA%20and%20period\" href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/employment-social-development\/services\/foreign-workers\/refusal.html#:~:text=Table%3A%20Unemployment%20rates%20by%20CMA%20and%20period\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"12\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(70, 120, 134)\"><b data-ogsc=\"\"><u data-ogsc=\"\">unemployment rates by CMA<\/u><\/b><\/a><\/span><b> on October 9, 2026, on the TFW Program website.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The table is automatically updated on a quarterly basis in accordance with Statistics Canada&#8217;s publication dates. Upcoming updates are scheduled for January, April and July.<\/p>\n<p>As a reminder, certain low-wage positions are exempt from this refusal to process measure.
