On <\/span>June 27, 2026<\/b>, a <\/span>mobile screening and sexual health clinic for temporary foreign workers (TFWs)<\/b> was held in <\/span>Mirabel<\/b>, an initiative led by the <\/span>Centre d’int\u00e9gration en emploi Laurentides (CIE Laurentides)<\/b><\/a>, under the coordination of <\/span>D\u00e9borah Lopez, Liaison Officer \u2013 Diversity and Inclusion<\/b>, with the participation of <\/span>InfoTET<\/b><\/a> Qu\u00e9bec<\/b> and several organizations committed to workers\u2019 well-being.<\/span><\/p>\n

This free clinic aimed to facilitate access to prevention and screening services in a confidential, safe, and welcoming environment. Participants received information in Spanish, access to sexual health counseling, and various screening tests, contributing to the promotion of preventive health among TFWs.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Dispensaire de Saint-J\u00e9r\u00f4me<\/b> actively contributed by sending a nurse and a nurse practitioner to conduct tests and answer participants\u2019 questions, ensuring professional and accessible care.<\/span><\/p>\n

More than 20 temporary foreign workers from the company Savoura took part in this initiative, demonstrating a growing interest in accessible healthcare services tailored to their realities.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The event also highlighted the important role of community organizations. <\/span>CALPAHC<\/b> presented its mission of health information, prevention, and awareness, while the <\/span>Centre d’aide aux familles latino-am\u00e9ricaines (CAFLA)<\/b><\/a>, represented by <\/span>Eliana Jaramillo<\/b>, was present to answer questions related to mental health and available support resources.<\/span><\/p>\n

As part of this activity, the <\/span>InfoTET<\/b><\/a> Qu\u00e9bec<\/b> program was presented to participants by <\/span>Nicolas Bellier, Project Director at <\/b>InfoTET<\/b><\/a> of Immigrant Qu\u00e9bec<\/b>. This intervention helped raise awareness about key resources available to TFWs, as well as practical tools regarding their rights and responsibilities, in addition to services available across the province. The exchanges were particularly meaningful, allowing for a better understanding of workers\u2019 needs and reinforcing <\/span>InfoTET<\/b><\/a>\u2019s mission: to provide clear, accessible, and useful information throughout their stay in Quebec.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
