An information session on the Canadian financial system for Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs) was held in <\/span>Granby<\/b>, with the participation of approximately 45 TFWs from the city and surrounding areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

The session covered essential topics related to personal finances in Canada, such as credit card management, loans, sending money to home countries, and the importance of building and maintaining a strong credit history. Emphasis was also placed on making payments on time in order to maintain good financial health and facilitate integration into the Canadian financial system.<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and share their experiences, which made the session highly dynamic, practical, and valuable for their financial integration process.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The session was led by <\/span>Alejandra Orozco<\/b> from <\/span>Desjardins<\/b><\/a>, who shared recommendations and advice tailored to the realities of Temporary Foreign Workers. A meal was also provided to participants, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encouraged discussion and networking.<\/span><\/p>\n

As part of this activity, Jonathan Buitrago, Regional Coordinator of <\/span>InfoTET<\/b><\/a> at <\/span>Immigrant Qu\u00e9bec<\/b><\/a>, presented the <\/span>InfoTET<\/b><\/a> Qu\u00e9bec program and distributed the information guide designed for TFWs. This guide offers practical tools regarding the rights and responsibilities of temporary workers, as well as key information about services and resources available throughout the province. Discussions with participants were especially meaningful, allowing questions to be answered, needs to be identified, and <\/span>InfoTET<\/b><\/a>\u2019s mission to be strengthened: providing clear, accessible, and useful information to support Temporary Foreign Workers throughout their stay in Qu\u00e9bec.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
