On April 16, the <\/span>Soir\u00e9e portes ouvertes<\/b> organized by <\/span>Drummond \u00c9conomique<\/b><\/a> for TFWs took place in Drummondville. This event was designed to connect Temporary Foreign Workers with the services and resources available in the region.<\/span><\/p>\n

The activity allowed participants to gain a better understanding of <\/span>Drummond \u00c9conomique<\/b><\/a>\u2019s role in supporting worker integration, as well as to discover key tools that can help facilitate their settlement and development in Qu\u00e9bec.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Throughout the evening, several information booths were set up where different organizations and partners presented their services. Among them, <\/span>Desjardins<\/b><\/a> provided guidance on essential financial topics such as account management, credit, savings, and best practices for maintaining good financial health in Canada. In addition, <\/span>Drummond \u00c9conomique<\/b><\/a> made two lawyers available to answer participants\u2019 questions directly regarding labor rights and various legal situations.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

From <\/span>InfoTET<\/b><\/a> at <\/span>Immigrant Qu\u00e9bec<\/b><\/a>, a dedicated space was set up to present the program and its services. In this context, Jonathan Buitrago, Regional Coordinator, introduced the <\/span>InfoTET<\/b><\/a> Qu\u00e9bec program and distributed the information guide for Temporary Foreign Workers. This guide provides practical tools on workers\u2019 rights and obligations, as well as key information about services and resources available across the province.<\/span><\/p>\n

Interactions with participants were particularly enriching, allowing questions to be addressed, needs to be identified, and reinforcing <\/span>InfoTET<\/b><\/a>\u2019s mission: to provide clear, accessible, and useful information to support Temporary Foreign Workers throughout their integration process in Qu\u00e9bec.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beyond the information shared, the event also served as a networking and connection space, encouraging dialogue between workers and participating stakeholders, particularly on topics related to employment, regional life, and local opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
