On <\/span>Friday, March 13, 2026<\/b>, <\/span>Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs)<\/b> had the opportunity to immerse themselves in one of Quebec\u2019s most iconic traditions: a visit to the <\/span>Farsa Sugar Shack<\/b> in Sainte-Eustache. Between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM, approximately <\/span>thirty TET from Mexico, Guatemala, and Nicaragua<\/b> enjoyed an afternoon of sharing, learning, and fun in a truly Quebecois atmosphere.<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants were able to taste <\/span>traditional sugar shack cuisine<\/b>, try <\/span>maple taffy on snow<\/b>, tour the <\/span>evaporation room<\/b> and the <\/span>gift shop<\/b>, and some attended with their families, where children also enjoyed games and activities. The event not only offered a chance to experience a cultural tradition but also created a welcoming space to connect and strengthen the <\/span>TFWs<\/b> community.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

During the activity, <\/span>Jonathan Buitrago<\/b>, regional coordinator, and <\/span>Alejandra Salas<\/b>, collaborator with <\/span>InfoTET<\/b><\/a> of <\/b>Immigrant Qu\u00e9bec<\/b><\/a>, took the opportunity to present the <\/span>InfoTET<\/b><\/a> Qu\u00e9bec program<\/b> and distribute the <\/span>informational guide for TFWs<\/b>, providing practical tools about their rights, obligations, and available resources. This exchange allowed participants to ask questions, share personal experiences, and better understand the realities of <\/span>TFWs<\/b>, reinforcing InfoTET\u2019s mission to provide clear and useful information throughout their stay in the province.<\/span><\/p>\n

InfoTET<\/b><\/a> would like to extend special thanks to <\/span>Marjorie R\u00e9gimbeau, Executive Director<\/b>, <\/span>Alain Marginean, Director\u2019s Advisor<\/b>, and <\/span>Julio Cesar Baez Done, Development and Collective Activities Officer<\/b>, all from <\/span>ABL Immigration<\/b><\/a>, for their organization and dedication, which made this cultural experience memorable for all attendees.<\/span><\/p>\n
