On <\/span>Thursday, January 22, 2026<\/b>, a recreational soccer activity was held for <\/span>Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs)<\/b> in the city of <\/span>Chambly<\/b>, organized by <\/span>Int\u00e9gration Comp\u00e9tences<\/b>,<\/span><\/a> with the participation of <\/span>InfoTET<\/b><\/a> d\u2019<\/b>Immigrant Qu\u00e9bec<\/b>.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

During this enriching evening, we had the pleasure of welcoming temporary foreign workers from the <\/span>Mont\u00e9r\u00e9gie region<\/b>, whose diverse participation added great value to the event. Participants came from <\/span>Colombia, Guatemala, Morocco and Haiti<\/b>, creating a meaningful space for <\/span>cultural exchange, social interaction, integration and mutual support<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

This activity provided an excellent opportunity to <\/span>break away from the winter routine<\/b>, encourage <\/span>physical activity<\/b>, promote <\/span>emotional well-being<\/b>, and strengthen social bonds among workers in a <\/span>warm, inclusive and respectful environment<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

During the event, the <\/span>InfoTET<\/b><\/a> d\u2019<\/b>Immigrant Qu\u00e9bec<\/b><\/a> team had the opportunity to listen directly to the <\/span>experiences, realities and daily challenges faced by temporary foreign workers<\/b>, fostering a valuable space for dialogue, trust and connection. These exchanges helped deepen our understanding of their journeys and highlighted the importance of <\/span>timely support and appropriate resources<\/b> to promote their professional stability and successful integration.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, a very enriching discussion took place with two Guatemalan workers from the poultry sector, who enthusiastically shared their experience in different stages of the production process. Their testimonies highlighted the <\/span>pride, motivation and commitment<\/b> they bring to their work, reflecting the high level of professionalism that characterizes TFWs and their <\/span>valuable contribution to the development of the sector<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Furthermore, <\/span>Jonathan Buitrago<\/b>, Regional Coordinator of InfoTET, took the opportunity to present the <\/span>InfoTET<\/b><\/a> Qu\u00e9bec program<\/b> and distribute the <\/span>new edition of the informational guide for temporary foreign workers<\/b>. This moment of direct interaction allowed participants to ask questions, share experiences and express their needs, reinforcing <\/span>InfoTET\u2019s<\/span><\/a> mission to support them and provide practical tools for their journey in Quebec.<\/span><\/p>\n

At <\/span>InfoTET<\/b><\/a> d\u2019<\/b>Immigrant Qu\u00e9bec<\/b><\/a>, we firmly believe that events like this are essential to <\/span>strengthen inclusion, empower TFWs and promote their overall well-being<\/b> across the province.
