On <\/span>December 9, 2025<\/b>, the <\/span>InfoTET<\/b><\/a> team had the pleasure of visiting the <\/span>La Relance Adult Education Center<\/b> in Marieville to present our program during an evening French course for adults.<\/span><\/p>\n

La Relance<\/b> offers French language courses that help participants <\/span>improve their French and use it as a tool for full integration<\/b> into Quebec society and the workforce. Thanks to the warm welcome from the center, we were able to <\/span>meet Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs) directly<\/b> and hear about their experiences firsthand.<\/span><\/p>\n

Learning French is essential for TFWs to <\/span>understand their work environment, communicate effectively with employers and colleagues, and access essential services<\/b>, reducing the risk of misunderstandings, isolation, or unfair situations.<\/span><\/p>\n

This visit was carried out in collaboration with <\/span>Int\u00e9gration Comp\u00e9tences<\/b><\/a>, the organization responsible for the <\/span>PSTM<\/b> in the region. We had the opportunity to interact with TFWs from <\/span>Colombia, Mexico, and Guatemala<\/b>, who are taking French classes to improve their social and professional integration, as well as their quality of life in Quebec.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our <\/span>regional coordinator, Jonathan Buitrago<\/b>, took the opportunity to <\/span>introduce the <\/b>InfoTET<\/b><\/a> Qu\u00e9bec program to the TFWs<\/b>, explaining the services, resources, and tools available to support their integration and protection in the province. It was also an opportunity to <\/span>distribute the new edition of the information guide for TFWs<\/b>, allowing us to answer their questions, listen to their experiences, and better understand their needs. These warm interactions are at the heart of our mission: <\/span>supporting and providing tools to Temporary Foreign Workers throughout their journey in Quebec<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

InfoTET<\/b><\/a> Qu\u00e9bec<\/b> is a support program for Temporary Foreign Workers, funded by the <\/span>Federal Government through <\/b>Immigrant Qu\u00e9bec<\/b><\/a>, with a presence across the province. The program aims to <\/span>fund initiatives and collaborate with community organizations<\/b> to support migrant workers, with special attention to those in vulnerable situations or who face barriers to accessing information and exercising their rights.<\/span><\/p>\n

At <\/span>InfoTET<\/b><\/a> of<\/b> Immigrant Qu\u00e9bec<\/b><\/a>, we believe that activities like this are essential for <\/span>strengthening inclusion, providing information to Temporary Foreign Workers, and promoting their overall well-being<\/b> in Quebec. We will continue supporting initiatives that foster information, training, and effective integration for those who contribute to the development of our province.<\/span><\/p>\n
