For newcomers, there is no need to worry: with proper information and preparation, it is possible to stay safe, warm, and enjoy the season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Quebec, temperatures vary greatly depending on the season and region:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>November and December:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the cold begins to set in; ice and snow appear, and sometimes there are even storms.<\/span><\/li>\n<p> \t<\/p>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>January and February:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the coldest months, with wind chill potentially dropping below -40\u00b0C (-40\u00b0F). style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Insulated and waterproof boots<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Thick style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the night.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Frostbite can affect skin exposed to the cold, especially on extremities: ears, fingers, toes, nose, and cheeks.
