The InfoTET team from Immigrant Qu\u00e9bec<\/strong>, accompanied by our project director Nicolas Bellier<\/strong>, participated in an activity organized by Actions interculturelles de d\u00e9veloppement et d\u2019\u00e9ducation (AIDE)<\/strong> at a housing facility in Cookshire-Eaton hosting 40 Guatemalan and Mexican workers. The day took place in a warm, respectful, and friendly atmosphere, reaffirming our commitment to supporting TETs directly at their place of residence.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

During the visit, AIDE offered an essential information session on priority topics for the workers, such as taxes and health, overseen by Aura Mar\u00eda Forero<\/strong>, Coordinator, and professionally led by Sa\u00efd Beltr\u00e1n and Andrea Contreras<\/strong>, Project Officers, allowing the workers to ask questions and receive practical information for their professional and daily life in Qu\u00e9bec.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

To reinforce the human and relaxed aspect of the day, we shared pizzas and refreshments, creating an open dialogue space where the workers could express their experiences, ask questions, and share their realities.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In addition, the TETs were informed about the importance of keeping documentation and records related to their work in Qu\u00e9bec. We also took the opportunity to reiterate this importance. Nicolas Bellier (InfoTET) used this moment to interact with the workers, listen to their experiences, strengthen existing support networks in the region, and distribute InfoTET guides to provide essential information on resources, rights, and services available to temporary workers in Qu\u00e9bec. Each meeting like this reminds us of the importance of staying close, available, and active on the ground.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The day also ended with an emotional farewell to the workers who were essential at the BL Plantation in Cookshire, a moment to thank them for their effort, dedication, and commitment during the season.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

For InfoTET, these experiences illustrate the importance of being present, listening directly, and offering concrete support to temporary foreign workers, strengthening trust and maintaining close guidance even at the end of their stay.<\/p>\n

We shared moments of camaraderie over local pizzas, laughter, and conversations, reinforcing the relationship between the workers and our team.<\/p>\n
