A celebration of culture, labor, and community for Temporary Foreign Workers<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

On August 21, Compton was the stage for a vibrant Latin Fiesta organized by AIDE, a special event dedicated to bringing together Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs) and celebrating their valuable contribution to Quebec\u2019s agriculture. The day combined the best of Latin and Qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois cultures, creating a festive atmosphere full of music, flavors, and joy.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Upon arrival, participants were welcomed at the AIDE booth. They were then able to enjoy Latin music and traditional dishes in a warm and welcoming space that encouraged integration and cultural exchange.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Latin Fiesta also featured the presence of Desjardins, whose representatives offered financial support and guidance to the workers, enriching the experience for all attendees.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Representing Immigrant Qu\u00e9bec, Jonathan Buitrago, coordinator of the InfoTET program, attended the event and took the opportunity to speak with workers, learn about their experiences, and strengthen the support networks available in the region.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

With perfect weather and a spirit of solidarity, this celebration was a clear demonstration of appreciation for the TFWs, who make agricultural production in the region possible every day. Additionally, the event served as a space to strengthen ties between the different cultures present in Quebec.<\/p>\n
