As part of the InfoTET Qu\u00e9bec program and in collaboration with several partner organizations, we recently carried out a tour across various municipalities in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region, including Mont-Joli, Matane, and Saint-Pascal.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

During this visit, we had the valuable opportunity to meet with temporary foreign workers employed in a variety of sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, food processing, transportation, construction, hospitality, mechanics, painting, and welding, among others.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The individuals we engaged with came from several countries, including Guatemala, Colombia, Mexico, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, Algeria, Cameroon, Madagascar, Ecuador, and Costa Rica\u2014reflecting the rich cultural diversity they bring to our region.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Throughout the tour, we hosted workshops to introduce the InfoTET Qu\u00e9bec program, alongside sessions focused on psychosocial support, health prevention, and workplace well-being led by CAFLA. Additionally, Ferme Contigo offered a workshop on driving in Qu\u00e9bec and the risks associated with impaired driving (alcohol or drugs).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

These gatherings not only allowed us to share useful information but also to gain a deeper understanding of the realities these workers face\u2014their experiences, living situations, and access to regional services. This insight is essential for strengthening our support throughout their migration and professional journey.
